Work With Offenders - The Choices
CARAT worker
Is prison based drugs worker who works within a multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment, care planning and group work for adult prisoners with substance misuse problems.
To be appointed as a CARAT worker it is usually necessary to have experience of working with substance users at both Tier 2 and 3.
A formal qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable.
