Community Payback Supervisor (Sessional/Ad-hoc)
Location: Thames Valley
Salary: £11.42 per hour + plus enhancement for Saturday and Sunday working
Thames Valley Community Rehabilitation Company (TV-CRC) are looking for Sessional Supervisors to join our Community Payback team.
Are you looking for a flexible hands-on role?
Do you have great DIY skills or previous trade experience and want a rewarding and challenging new role? Perhaps you've worked in the criminal justice sector and want a part time role where you can support your local community?
Would you describe yourself as driven, confident and assertive?
Our Community Payback Supervisors oversee groups of up to 10 offenders with Unpaid Work Requirements (formerly known as Community Service) whilst they are completing work placements within the community. The work can be anything from clearing paths and alleyways, to painting schools, to conservation work and is carried out for local communities, charities and ‘not for profit’ organisations.
Excellent communication skills and a range of practical skills are essential. You must have use of a vehicle as you will be required to travel throughout the region, and you will also be required to drive a people carrier. We're not looking for specific experience in offender management; it's much more about your ability to effectively manage a team and deal with challenging behaviour. You'll be given full training and be paid a competitive hourly rate including an additional allowance for weekend work. You will agree your working hours with your Manager in advance but will essentially work for us on an ad-hoc basis, as and when required.
